What is a League?

A weekly drop-in sports program in which participants will be split into teams based on age, experience and skill level with the main component of focus being game play. The participants will play a specified sport each week with the opportunity of learning a new version of a sport throughout the 8-to-9 week period. Each week will consist of a short and introductory skill development session prior to game play.

What is a Clinic?

An introductory drop-in sports program teaching the basics skills and fundamentals each week. Each week will provide children the opportunity to be active while developing interpersonal and leadership skills while building lasting friendships. Each week will consist of a 20-30 minute skill development session with specific drills and gameplay to finish off the session.

Floor Hockey Clinic - Mondays

8 weeks starting January 22, 2018 until March 26, 2018.
There will be no clinics on February 19th (Family Day) and March 12th (March Break)

Time - 6:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.

Children will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of Floor Hockey. They will have the opportunity to be active while developing essential life skills, positive friendships and having fun. This clinic is open to children of all levels of ability.

Badminton Clinic - Tuesdays

9 weeks starting January 23, 2018 to March 27, 2018.
No clinics on March 13th (March Break).

Time - 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.

Children will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of Badminton. They will have the opportunity to be active while developing essential life skills, positive friendships and having fun. This clinic is open to children of all levels of ability.

Skills Learned:

  • Rules and Gameplay
  • Positions on the court
  • Doubles and singles play
  • Holding the racket 
  • Swinging the racket
  • How to hit the shuttlecock

Basketball Clinic - Tuesdays

9 weeks starting January 23, 2018 until March 27, 2018.
No clinics on March 13th (March Break).

Time - 6:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.

Come try out basketball and improve on your fundamentals while meeting new people and developing new friendships. This is a great opportunity to encourage your children to be active and have fun! This clinic is open to children of all levels of ability.

  • Areas on the court
  • Offense 
  • Dribbling
  • Passing
  • Defensive stance
  • Shooting

Blue Jays Care Rookie Baseball Clinic - Wednesdays & Fridays

Wednesdays for 9 weeks starting January 24, 2018 until March 28, 2018.
Fridays for 8 weeks  starting January 26, 2018 until March 23, 2018.

No clinics on February 14th, March 14th & March 16th (March Break).

Time - 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.

The Blue Jays Care program allows children to learn about the fundamentals of baseball, the importance of sportsmanship and fair play, and develop essential life skills. This is a great opportunity to be active while having fun. This clinic is open to children of all levels of ability.

  • Roles of each position
  • Hitting
  • Throwing
  • Fielding (infield/ outfield)
  • Base running

Soccer Clinic - Wednesdays

9 weeks starting January 24, 2018 until March 28, 2018.
No clinics on February 14th and March 14th (March Break).

Time - 6:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.

Children will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of indoor soccer. They will have the opportunity to be active while developing essential life skills, positive friendships and having fun. This clinic is open to children of all levels of ability.

Dodgeball League - Thursdays

9 weeks starting January 25, 2018 until March 29, 2018.
No leagues on March 15th (March Break).

Time - 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.

Children will be introduced to a variety of different versions of dodgeball. Participants will learn how to dodge, dip, duck, dive and dodge! This is a great opportunity for children to learn more about the different variations of dodgeball while having fun, developing new friendships and developing essential life skills. This clinic is open to children of all levels of ability.

Volleyball Clinic - Thursdays

9 weeks starting January 25, 2018 until March 29, 2018.
No clinics on March 15th (March Break).

Time - 6:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.

Bump, set, Spike! Come out and learn the fundamentals of volleyball while having fun, developing essential life skills and creating positive friendships. This is a great opportunity to learn more about volleyball and be active! This clinic is open to children of all levels of ability.

Smorgasports' League - Fridays

8 weeks starting January 26, 2018 to March 23, 2018.
No leagues on March 16 (March Break).

Time - 6:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.

Children will be introduced to a variety of different sporting option throughout the 8 weeks. They will learn the basic fundamentals of sports such as Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Ultimate Frisbee, Badminton, Floor Hockey and Volleyball. This is a great opportunity for children to learn more about the different sports while having fun, developing new friendships and developing essential life skills. This league is open to children of all levels of ability.
