Have an interest in STEM?

Calling all future engineers and scientists in Grades 1 to 8! We have exciting activities coming up in our weekly Science & Engineering Club at the Boys and Girls Club of London. All activities are led by volunteers from Western Engineering.

When is this offered?

Date: Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
When: Starting January 11, 2018 until June 14, 2018*
Where: In the Craft Room (2nd floor)
*there will no evening activities running during March Break (March 12 to 16, 2018). End date is subject to change depending on availability of facilitators.

Weekly Activities

January 11, 2018 Squishy circuits We will be working with conductive and insulating playdough to explore circuits and electricity.
January 18, 2018 Make it Move! We will be exploring acceleration, movement and forces using matchbox cars.
January 25, 2018 Monkey See, Monkey Do We will be exploring biomimicry through a design and build challenge.
February 1, 2018 Western’s Wonderland We will be building straw roller coasters to explore forces and Newton’s Laws.
