Update - October 30th, 2020 - Unfortunately, we're not taking any requests from families who need assistance at this time. Please contact us to be notified if/when we will be able to take requests again.
“Koats for Kids” is a community service of the Boys and Girls Club of London with area businesses and service clubs acting as partners in this very worthwhile undertaking – to ensure that every child is warm in the winter! Members of the Horton Street Seniors’ Centre, Club staff, students and community volunteers help distribute gently used coats and winter apparel to members and their families, and to the community until donations run out.
One coat will be given to each child/youth (0 to 18 years old) free of charge while quantities last. Proof of age will be required for each individual receiving a coat. Children and youth don't have to be present to receive a coat but proper identification is required. A request form must be submitted. Coats are not available for adults.
In the fall, we start our appeal to the public. We ask them to drop off the winter apparel at the Club or at any of participating drop-off locations consisting of local businesses, organizations, and schools throughout the city. Help us ensure every child and youth is warm for the winter!
Should you have any questions, please contact Christina Yung at 519-434-9115 ext. 241 or firstname.lastname@example.org
If anyone would like to donate funds to the Koats for Kids campaign, all proceeds will be used to cover minimal administrative and supplies costs, and new winter apparel for next year's campaign.

Thank you to the students and faculty at Fanshawe College's Fashion Design program (Fashion Fit) for mending rips and tears, and replacing zippers on winter coats.
