To be announced for 2021
Updated - November 30th - We are no longer able to accept donations of new and gently used winter clothing and accessories. Please consider giving your donation to one of the organizations listed in this booklet (page 1).
If you are in need of assistance, please refer to the Helping Yourself Through Hard Times booklet for other organizations who may be able to assist you.
“Koats for Kids” is a community service of the Boys and Girls Club of London with area businesses and service clubs acting as partners in this very worthwhile undertaking – to ensure that every child is warm in the winter! Members of the Horton Street Seniors’ Centre, Club staff, students and community volunteers help distribute gently used coats and winter apparel to members and their families, and to the community until donations run out.
One coat will be given to each child/youth (0 to 18 years old) free of charge while quantities last. Proof of age will be required for each individual receiving a coat. Children and youth don't have to be present to receive a coat but proper identification is required. A request form must be submitted. Coats are not available for adults.
In the fall, we start our appeal to the public. We ask them to drop off the winter apparel at the Club or at any of participating drop-off locations consisting of local businesses, organizations, and schools throughout the city. Help us ensure every child and youth is warm for the winter!
Should you have any questions, please contact Christina Yung at 519-434-9115 ext. 241 or email@example.com
If anyone would like to donate funds to the Koats for Kids campaign, all proceeds will be used to cover minimal administrative and supplies costs, and new winter apparel for next year's campaign.
