Bring to Camp in Ilderton

Dear Campers/Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to BGC London Summer Camp 2022! We are excited to be running a camp in Ilderton this year and looking forward to spending the week with your child(ren) at camp.

Here is an example of what the camp schedule will look like. Activities and themes will change week to week.

The staff has worked really hard, preparing for our new camp program opening in your community. We are excited to bring all the fun and excitement that BGCL has to your children and the community. Each day camper will have so much fun playing all types of camp games, crafting activities, and building friendships with fellow camper and staff.

We need your help to ensure safety for all and to ensure campers have the most enjoyable experience at camp.

All campers need the following every day in a backpack labelled with your child’s name:

  1. Nutritious Snacks & Lunch (peanut-free, please)
  • We will be providing a morning & afternoon snack each day.
  • Pizza lunch every Friday
  1. Water Bottle labelled with name.
  2. Appropriate Footwear – Active shoes must have a strap/back to them
  3. Swimming Suit & Towel
  • Not every day, but on some days a water game will be played
  • Camp will be swimming Wednesday at BGC London’s Swimming Pool
  • Splash Pad on Thursday

Each week on Wednesday, the camp will be travelling to the Club in London and getting to swim and play in some fantastic program rooms. The bus will be departing Ilderton Arena at 9:30 am and returning at 3:10 pm.
Please be advised that ALL camp staff will be going on this trip.
(If needed, you can drop off or pick your camper up at BGC London – 184 Horton Street East.)

Furthermore, we ask that the following items be left AT HOME, please:

  • Toys, Sports equipment, Electronics and any valuables

Leaving these items at home will help campers enjoy the planned activities. If you give your child permission to bring such things, we are not responsible for any lost, broken or stolen belongings. It would also be helpful if campers had labels on their belongings in case such an incident occurs.

Any medication must be given directly to the Program Manager/Camp Director in the original medicinal container. A Medication Form must also be completed by the Parent/Guardian. Please only bring medication for one day; we do not want Monday to be given medication for the whole week.

For pick-up, Parents/Caregivers picking their children up must be on the registration form, and they are required to provide a government-issued photo ID. Please notify us if someone other than yourself will be signing your child out that day. If an individual not on the list arrives, you will be contacted to confirm the alternate pick-up.
Camp Hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Please note that if any behaviour issues occur with your child, a Managing Behaviour form will be completed by a Director. If the noted behaviour is a severe incident, you will be contacted immediately and required to pick your child up. If your child is suspended from participating in our camp, you will not receive a refund.

We appreciate your support and understanding; our top priority is our children, families, and staff's health and well-being.
