What to Bring - London Camp

Dear Campers/Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to Summer Camp 2022! We are very excited that you have decided to join our camp for the summer and we welcome you to our team!

We will be playing and learning lots of different games, activities and craft all summer long as well as work on developing our campers’ confidence, and find things they are passionate about. We want to ensure every child has a positive and fun experience in our summer camps, developing skills that they can carry with them into the school year!

To assist your camper(s) in having the most enjoyable experience at BGC London Summer Camps we ask that you please send them with:

  1. Water bottles (Bring a frozen water bottle for the afternoon).
  2. Comfortable and appropriate clothing (running shoes, shorts, t-shirt, a HAT)
  3. Appropriate footwear, like running shoes for sports activities, footwear must have a strap/back to them – please do not wear flip flops, sandals or cleats
  4. Bathing suit, towel, mosquito repellant, a plastic bag for wet clothing
  5. Sunscreen – (labelled with child’s name)
Furthermore, there are also some things that we ask your children to leave at home:
  1. Electronics (i.e. phones, iPods, iPhones, Nintendo, PSP etc.)
  2. Sports equipment, (i.e. balls, bats, sticks etc.)

Leaving these items at home will provide the most enjoyment for both your camper and the other campers in the camp.
All valuables must remain at home, as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings. It would also be very helpful if you could label your child’s belongings in case such an incident occurs.

In addition, any MEDICATION must be given directly to the Camp Coordinator in the original medicinal container; a medication form must be completed at the start of the week by a Parent/Guardian.

Every Friday we will be giving the children a Pizza Lunch from Domino’s. This is the only lunch we will provide during the week. We will be giving the children two snack every day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please ensure that any allergies or health concerns are noted on the forms or let us know of any changes.

You can sign in your camper each day between 8:00-9:00 a.m. in the homeroom and pick them up between 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the homeroom. If you require early drop-off (7:30 a.m. in GYM) or late pick-up (5:30 p.m. in GYM), you must pre-register and it is available at a cost of $3 per child per day or $15 for the week. Campers who are picked up late are charged $5/15 minutes.

Parents/Guardians arriving to pick up their child must be on the BGCL registration form and they must provide photo government issued identification to camp staff. Please notify us if someone other than yourself will be signing your child out. If an individual arrives who is not on the registration form, you will be contacted to confirm the alternate pick-up.

Please note that if any BEHAVIOUR ISSUES occur with your child, a Managing Behaviour form will be completed by a Coordinator. If the noted behaviour is a serious incident, you will be contacted immediately and will be required to pick your child up. If your child is suspended from participating in the BGC London Camp programming, you will not receive a refund.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.
