Summer Camps
A Quick Overview
Registered families will receive a copy of the schedule in their e-mail by the Friday before the camp week starts each week. Please check your junk/spam folder if it's not in your inbox or contact us to receive a copy ([email protected]).
Schedules are subject to change depending on other factors such as weather and other events that may be out of our control.
Dates: July 4th, 2023 to September 1st, 2023 (Not open on Monday, July 3rd and Monday, August 7th)
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., extended care is not available in Ilderton
Ages: 4 to 15 for campers in London; Ages 4 to 12 for campers in Ilderton
- Application & Registration will be required.
- If you are receiving a subsidy, you must be pre-approved for camp by your Case Worker. If you register without pre-approval, your registration may be cancelled/void.
- If you need to cancel registration for day camp, please refer to our policy here on how refunds are issued.

Camp program in Ilderton:
This camp is based at the Ilderton Community Centre and Arena. Participants enjoy a variety of games, crafts, and other fun activities with weekly themes such as Science, Olympics and Carnival! One day each week, the camp travels to the London Club for swimming and other activities.

Costs
Each day, two snacks are included with the fees; however, please make sure to pack a nut-free lunch for your child each day.

Please note: Subsidy* is available (City of London, Middlesex County). You must have been pre-approved for camp by your Case Worker. This information will be verified by our staff. If you have not been pre-approved for camp by your Case Worker, your registration will be cancelled/void.

To register using the PDF form, make sure to SAVE your before attaching it to a new email. If you do not save your form before attaching it to a new email, it will be blank when we receive it. Forms can be faxed (519-434-7306) or emailed to [email protected].
To register online, you must have a household profile completed AND a BGC membership form completed for each child BEFORE registering for any day camps or programs. Refer to the Help section on RecDesk here for step-by-step instructions (scroll halfway down the page).
What Your Child(ren) Should Bring to Camp:
- Face masks are OPTIONAL.
- Every day - Bring a peanut-free/nut-free lunch/nut-free; two snacks are provided by us each day at both camp sites
- Water bottle labelled with child’s name
- Sunscreen and Hat
- Bathing suit and towel as the children will be using the Aquaplex and Wellness pools at the Club.
- Proper footwear such as running shoes or sport sandals with straps – please avoid flip flops and Crocs as they can cause injuries when running around.
Cancellations, Refunds, Absent Days
If your child(ren) is absent from camp, please provide us with notice in writing and include a reason why they are absent that day. An e-mail notification sent to [email protected] will be sufficient.
If you are cancelling your camp registration, you must provide in writing a notice of the cancellation at least two (2) weeks before the camp week starts in order to receive a refund, minus a $15.00 administration fee per cancellation.
For example, if you provide notice that you're canceling registration for Week 1 of camp; the fee is $15.00. Then a few weeks later, you decide to cancel registration for Week 5 of camp, the fee is $15.00. You paid $30.00 in total for two cancellations.
Reminders:
- Camp is for ages 4 to 15 years old at BGCL site; ages 4 to 12 years old at Ilderton site.
- Extended care is available for an extra fee per session, per week, per child only at the BGCL site (London). Early Drop-Off is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.; Late Pick-Up is from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- No extended care available in Ilderton – Camp drop-off is no earlier than 8:00 a.m. Pick-up is no later than 5:00 p.m., therefore all children must be picked up at this site by 5:00 p.m.
- Swimming in our pool and out trips available. Swim tests are required and lifejackets for 6 and under must be used based on our Aquatic guidelines (click here to read the guidelines).
