Youth Skill Development
Choose your own (early employment) adventure at BGC!
Calling all youth entering Grade 9 to Grade 12 (ages 13-18) who are at the start of their early employment adventures!
The Skilled4Success program (S4S) supports youth in both building and navigating their road map(s) towards early pre-employment skill development, first job, and beyond!
Build your confidence, your resume, and your network of opportunity with Skilled4Success:
Earn 40+ volunteer hours as a BGC Junior Ambassador, rotating through various roles and responsibilities across the Club to explore.
Attend workshops and trainings focused on employment skill-building (communication, customer service, project management, and more).
Achieve industry recognized certifications in First Aid & CPR, Safe Food Handling, WHMIS, & High Five®.
BGC London directly partners with local businesses looking to hire youth. We run seasonal hiring campaigns with Old Navy (and more) with job opportunities open exclusively to BGC Youth Members, and to graduates of the S4S program.
Take the first step!
The first step in your adventure is to register to become a BGC volunteer. Once we receive your application, we will be in touch to schedule an orientation and share information about the upcoming placement and training opportunities!
BGC London and the Canadian Red Cross are collaborating to help prepare our local youth for future job opportunities. These courses are open to all youth in the community; no Club membership required.
