Seniors Programs

The Horton Street Seniors' Centre (HSSC) operates in the Boys and Girls Club of London for seniors ages 55 and up.

In 1987, the Horton Street Seniors' Centre was opened for 60 members. The Centre runs programs during the day time when the children are in school, giving senior citizens an affordable place for recreational and social events. The Centre's extended family has grown to include over 1,200 members. 

Important Updates

Due to the day camps operating during the school boards' strike action, Morning Fitness Walk on Friday morning (Feb. 21st and 28th) are cancelled. MOST other programs and activities operating at their regularly scheduled times. The Aquaplex Pool will be closed for scheduled maintenance work on Friday, February 28th, 2020.

We're sorry for any inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding and patience.

Take A Tour

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

Thinking about becoming a member but would like more information?
Join us for a tour of our facility every Thursday throughout the year. On the tour, you can learn more about the many programs we have to offer and answer any questions you may have. 

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early as tours begin sharply at 10:00 a.m.

Parking Pass

$4.00 per month
Members who drive and wish to use our parking lot can purchase a parking pass for a month or buy a yearly pass in January for $40 for the year.

Visitors' Fee

$3.00 per visit
Come try us out for the day!
The Visitor fee gives you access to activity programs and afternoon recreation swims only and includes your parking. 

The Horton Street Seniors' Centre has something for everyone! A vast network of programs and services have been developed to help ensure the well-being and high quality of life for our members. Our non-intimidating, friendly activities and facility can help you stay physically and mentally active, meet new people and just have fun!

Highlighted Programs

Forward Bound
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.*
*(this program is not available during the summer months - July and August)

This is a supportive leisure program that provides assistance to older adults who find it difficult to attend programs and activities at the Centre on their own. The program brings these seniors into the club to enjoy different social, recreational and light physical activities.

Foot Care Clinics
8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
4th Tuesday of every other month 
The cost is $30 per visit.
(For your protection, high-pressure steam is used to sterilize all instruments.)
